Starting in October in Turin the LAUREUS SPORT FOR GOOD project in collaboration with ASD VALANGA\u00a0and the paralympic athlete MASSIMO GIANDINOTO and ALPS SOUTH<\/strong><\/h4>\n

Once again this October, for the second year in a row, the Sport For Good <\/strong>project, spearheaded by the Laureus Fondation <\/strong>in collaboration with ASD Valanga <\/strong>will be taking off in Turin. Special news this year is that local paralympic star Massimo Giandinoto<\/strong> will also be participating.\u00a0Giandinoto <\/strong>has long been a brand Ambassador for ALPS SOUTH, <\/strong>the American company specializing in the development and manufacture of prosthetic liners also sponsoring this sporting event.<\/p>\n

The Project, which is slated to continue into May 2023, aims get kids with a variety of problems \u2013 ranging from high levels of truancy and risks of juvenile delinquency, to those with varying degrees of cognitive or psychological disabilities, to those coming from families receiving help from social services or in socio-economic difficulty \u2013 from the Turin neighborhoods of Borgo Vittoria and Vallette <\/strong>involved in sports-training activities.<\/p>\n

The project proposes taking on about 30 cognitively impaired children between 7 and 14 years of age coming from the Saba, Vivaldi Murialto and L. Radice Unified Schools<\/strong>, and getting them involved in soccer and mini volleyball activities developed specifically to accommodate their special needs. The training program has been carefully devised to foster, among other things, teachers‘ sensitivity to the values that sports can impart.<\/p>\n
